KAMLOOPS — One of two men charged in a drive-by shooting in Blind Bay five years ago has learned his fate, while the other may have a long legal road ahead.

Jordan Barnes of Mission pleaded guilty last week in the June 1, 2011 shooting death of 24 year old Nicholas Larsen.

That guilty plea to second degree murder guaranteed Barnes a life sentence, and this morning a judge gave him 10 years in prison before he becomes eligible for parole.

The second man charged in the crime, Jeremy Davis of Williams Lake, is going to trial.
