Tiger-Cats DB Derrius Brooks expected to be OK after leaving on stretcher
Hamilton Tiger-Cats defensive back Derrius Brooks appears to be OK after he was stretchered off the field on Friday night following a collision with a teammate.
The Ticats said Brooks was taken to the hospital and was released later Friday night after tests came back negative. The team did not provide any further details on the extent of the injury.
“Thanks for the prayers everyone. X-ray came back negative and ready to get back to the drawing board tomorrow!!!,” Brooks tweeted.
Brooks stayed down on the field after being run into by defensive back Dominique Ellis midway through the third quarter against Edmonton with what appeared to be a head-and-neck injury.
