Cariboo-Chilcotin MLA Barnett promoted

VICTORIA — Cariboo-South MLA Donna Barnett has been given a promotion.

Premier Christy Clark appointed the two-term BC Liberal MLA Minister of State for Rural Economic Development today.

Clark called Barnett “a proven champion for rural development.”

The premier also appointed Maple Ridge-Mission MLA Marc Dalton Parliamentary Secretary for Metis Relations, serving under Aboriginal Relations and Reconciliation Minister John Rustad.
