Crown of Curling begins

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops rinks went 3-for-3 in their first draw at the Hub Crown of Curling.

Defending B.C. women’s champion Karla Thompson opened with a 6-3 win over Kesa Van Osch from Nanaimo.

Corryn Brown and her new junior rinks defeated a Swiss team 5-1 and Amanda Russett scored three in the final end for a 9-7 win over Sarah Koltun from Whitehorse.
