Storm devastates Magna Bay Resort
MAGNA BAY, B.C. — A huge storm rolled through Magna Bay Resort Saturday evening, damaging homes and uprooting trees.
Linda Dupray-O’Hearn was camping in the area and told CFJC Today the storm hit the region around 7:30 p.m. She said it felt like a tornado.
“Exactly like a tornado – felt like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz when running to our campsite – height of storm lasted about 15 minutes,” Dupray-O’Hearn said.
Trees blocked roads, trapping people from leaving the area Sunday morning.
