KAMLOOPS — It’s been 35 years since Aberdeen Mall opened its doors in Kamloops, and on Friday the community came out to celebrate the milestone.
Hundreds of people lined up for a pancake breakfast put on by the Valleyview Overlanders Lions Club. Aberdeen Mall has been in Kamloops since 1981, and staff wanted to say thank you to all the shoppers that have supported the mall during its 35 years in operation.
The pancake breakfast was by donation, either with non-perishable food items for the Kamloops Food Bank or gently-used clothing for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kamloops. Each non-profit was also given $500 gift cards to Aberdeen Mall to use at their discretion.
