Rollover causes major traffic disruption on Coquihalla Highway

KAMLOOPS — A rollover accident caused major traffic issues on the Coquihalla Highway between Kamloops and Merritt Tuesday afternoon (August 2). 

The accident was in the southbound lanes of the highway, but caused a slow down on both sides. 

According to the British Columbia Ambulance Service, three patients were transported to hospital following a single vehicle rollover.

One patient was in serious condition, and traveled to Royal Inland Hospital via air ambulance, the other two patients are listed in stable condition.

Police are advising people to proceed with caution if they’re heading out on the highway this afternoon.
