MONTREAL — Lawyers for the estranged wife of former Parti Quebecois leader Pierre Karl Peladeau are in court today in a bid to find out who allegedly paid to have her followed last month.

Peladeau and Quebec television personality Julie Snyder announced their separation in January after less than six months of marriage.

Earlier this week, Snyder’s lawyers filed a request for an injunction asking for the release of the name of the person who ordered the alleged surveillance.

They say Snyder has suffered from constant stress and fears for her safety since June 26, the day she saw someone at Quebec City airport reportedly following her.

The popular host and producer is also asking for a halt to any current and future surveillance directed her way.
