Wolfram signs first pro contract in Sweden
KAMLOOPS — Josh Wolfram is going to Sweden.
The former TRU Wolfpack power forward has signed his first professional contract with Umea BSKT of the Swedish Basketligan. It’s a one-year contract, with a team option for the second year.
“It’s a dream come true to sign a professional contract in Europe,” said Wolfram. “I want to thank everyone who has supported me, and I cannot wait to begin my career with Umea.”
Wolfram is coming off his final collegiate season with the Wolfpack, averaging 19 points and nearly 10 rebounds a game in leading TRU to a silver medal at the Canada West Final Four and a first appearance at the CIS National Championships. Wolfram was selected to his second consecutive All-CanWest First Team.
