Federal transit funding to trickle into Kamloops
KAMLOOPS — A big funding announcement from the Federal Liberals could benefit Kamloops residents.
The government is investing $470 million in public transportation in B.C. over the next two years.
Combined with funding from the province and municipalities, the total investment in B.C.’s transit infrastructure exceeds $920 million.
With approximately $158 million of combined federal and provincial funding earmarked for B.C. Transit systems, transportation minister Todd Stone says some of that money will flow to Kamloops.
