New graduate degrees coming to TRU

KAMLOOPS — Thompson Rivers University will offer a pair of new graduate degrees come next year.

The provincial Ministry of Advanced Education has approved TRU to offer a Master of Science in Environmental Economics Management and a Master of Environmental Economics.

According to a TRU news release, the first program is aimed at students interested in academic or consulting careers, while the second is for those who wish to work as managers in sustainability.

The school says at least five years has gone into developing both programs, and TRU can begin offering them in the fall of 2017.
