Ajax asking for more time to respond to public comments

KAMLOOPS — KGHM-Ajax has asked the Environmental Assessment Office for another month to deal with questions brought up in the public comment period related the company’s environmental application.

Project Manager Clyde Gillespie says the company has received a lot of questions, and wants to answer them.

Gillespie says the assessment office will discuss the request with other stakeholders in the mine project. The full environmental application was submitted in January, and there was a 180-day review period, including 75 days for public comment.
