Kamloops Jewish community celebrates Passover

KAMLOOPS — It’s one of the most important holidays for those of the Jewish faith. 

Passover began April 22nd and the local Jewish Community Centre found a unique way to give back to the while celebrating this important holiday.

Passover celebrates the liberation of the Jews from slavery in Egypt it commemorates the exodus, which would have occurred around 1300 BCE.

The unique part of the celebration is the partnership the Jewish Community Centre formed with the Jump Program, a group that helps feed low-income and homeless people on the North Shore.
