Mueller says the police helicopter will be relocating to Kelowna, while Kelowna’s current chopper will be moving north to Prince George. But he says Kamloops will still be able to use the service at any time.

“We’ll be able to draw on that. It’s a district resource and a provincial asset, so where we need it we’ll make that call and get its service. The only difference now is it will be coming out of Kelowna,” says Mueller.

“It’s a valuable resource and certainly one that was very nice to have in our own backyard, and certainly we utilized it at every opportunity we could.”
