According to Film commissioner Victoria Weller of the Thompson-Nicola Film Commission, there have been a few complaints about street closures but so far it’s mostly been a positive experience for the city.

“Some services report increase in sales, some say, ‘well, a little bit down but not significantly,’” Weller said. “Overall it’s been a great experience, so many kids have come down to watch. People have never seen anything like this before.”
Weller said hosting a production of this size could help promote the region to other film makers.
