KAMLOOPS — The Afternoon Auxiliary of Royal Inland Hospital Thrift Seller has released a surveillance photos of a pair of alleged thieves.

According to a spokesperson, the man and woman came in to Victoria Street store Saturday, after they had earlier been noticed circling the shop.

While the woman placed some items on the counter, she asked to see some rings that are stored in a locked cabinet.

As the volunteer staffer opened the cabinet, the spokesperson says the man surreptitiously reached in and took out two rings.

The two then said they needed to go out to their vehicle to get their bank card, and weren’t seen again.

The Afternoon Auxiliary is a charitable organization that raises funds for equipment at the hospital, and the spokesperson says shoplifters like these take advantage of volunteers.
