KAMLOOPS — The sixth annual Art Exposed kicks off tonight at the Old Courthouse on 1st Aveue in downtown Kamloops, displaying more than 250 pieces of artwork.
161 emerging and established artists from across the Thompson Nicola Regional District have their artwork on display and for purchase.
The Executive Director of the Kamloops Arts Council Kathy Sinclair says, “a lot of artists are looking for venues to show their work. Maybe they haven’t had any formal training. It’s about getting that first piece out there and sharing it with the public. It’s also great for them to sell their work.”
The artists work is done by residents ages 8 to 80 and will be on display tonight until 8pm and then daily until Friday March 19th from 10am to 5pm daily.
Admission is by donation.
“There is so much this year. Everything from acrylic paintings, to clay work, wood carvings, and multi media pieces as well. You’re going to see a bit of everything,” says Sinclair.
