MacLean comes back to haunt former team, Wolfpack claw Cougars
KAMLOOPS — Jordan MacLean had a home debut to remember for the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack women’s basketball team.
MacLean played her first ever Canada West regular season home game in a WolfPack uniform and had a ‘double double’ as TRU downed the Mount Royal University Cougars 79-41.
The WolfPack move to 9-3 on the year while Mount Royal falls to 1-12.
MacLean was a member of Mount Royal for two seasons before transferring to Thompson Rivers last year. She had also sat out the first half of this season.
The Hinton, Alberta resident wound up with 10 rebounds and 10 points and was named the “TRU Bookstore/McDonalds Leader of the Pack Player of the Game.”
“Jordan is big for us,” stated TRU assistant coach Chuck Ferguson. “She is a big kid and tough as hell. She was on the glass more and had that double double. Of course it was against a team she once played for so there was some extra motivation there. She had a fantastic game.”
