KAMLOOPS — The owner of Domino’s Pizza in the city has created a simple way to pay it forward, to a family member, friend, stranger or even someone in need.

Take a slice out of hunger is a simple concept where customers can purchase a token for $2.25 and given them to someone.

“We thought we could extend it to teachers rewarding their students, businesses rewarding their employees, or mothers giving it to their kids for lunch program.” said Rocky Hunter, Owner of Dominos Pizza Kamloops.

Since the initiative started 10 days ago over 130 tokens have already been purchased.

The plan is to expand the program to the Dominos in Salmon Arm and Cranbrook.

Rocky Hunter adds “the long term goal with the token program is that everyone in town hears about it and if they wish to help someone in need of a meal, then by all means purchase a token and give it to whom you want.”
