KAMLOOPS — The Royal Inland Hospital clinical services building project is hitting a major milestone this week.

Site administrator Carol Laberge says Bird Construction is putting the finishing touches on the roof of the structure.

The big crane that has been towering over the project for more than a year could come down this weekend.

That could mean some traffic tieups on Columbia Street. Laberge says the roof is now secure, and crews can now move into the interior of the structure to start work on girding, etc, to pave the way for finishing the interior of the building.
