B.C. Search Dog Association holds training in Kamloops

Members of the British Columbia Search Dog Association met near Roche Lake this weekend. President Chris Smith says 21 handlers and pups met for the annual Fall training camp. Smith says dogs are an valuable asset to search and rescue team adding on the Island alone dog teams are called out to assist at least 30 times a year and even more often on the Lower Mainland. Kamloops Search and Rescue presently has two search dog teams.
