Kamloops RCMP are warning the public about one specific card skimmer used to capture credit card information. Police are releasing photos of a skimmer that was used at the Chevron Gas station at 1795 East Trans Canada Highway in Kamloops. RCMP were first notified of the device on July 16th and reported it to the public earlier this week. Police advised consumers to check their banking statements and report suspicious transactions. As you can tell this type of skimmer is difficult to detect and is often used by organized crime.
