Birth chimes debut at Royal Inland Hospital
KAMLOOPS — A unique birth announcement, the only one of its kind in B.C. and maybe Canada has made its debut at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops. The concept of birth chimes comes all the way from Providence Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, Washington.
If you ever hear the chimes at Royal Inland Hospital you’ll know a baby has just been born. Jeremiah Johnson had the opportunity to press the chimes button because his partner Amber Wright just gave birth to Olivia.
The chimes were introduced at the hospital three weeks ago thanks to Dara Johnson and Michaela Swan, sisters who work at the hospital. They are both earning their masters degrees at Gonzaga Univerity.
