August 5, 1954 to August 18, 2017
Gary passed away at Royal Inland Hospital on August 18, 2017. He is survived by his wife Mary, and son Terry, sister Ann (Ed) Rudniski of Whitehorse, brother Doug of Langley, sisters-in-law Theresa (Murray) Robertson of Vernon, Rebecca (Mike) Hammond of Kamloops, and many nieces and nephews. Gone but will never be forgotten, and forever missed.
Gary was born in Red Deer Alberta, but most of his youth was spent in the Yukon. He met his wife Mary in Barriere, B.C. They married in June 1974, and were blessed with a son, Terry in Feb 1986.
Gary had a long work history of driving truck and as a welder in the construction industry. He was currently employed by Westcan Bulk Transport here in Kamloops as a Safety Advisor.
He liked hunting and fishing. His fondest memories were of his childhood spent in the Yukon, and requested his ashes to be returned and spread in the North.
