204 Black Maria Royal Canadian Air Cadets

The 204 Black Maria Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron meets every Monday night from 6:15-9:15 at the Westsyde Neighbourhood Center at 3550 Westsyde Road.  Optional nights are also encouraged and can include activities such as: BAND,  BIATHLON, FLYING AND GLIDING, MARKSMANSHIP, EFFECTIVE SPEAKING, LEADERSHIP, PHYSICAL FITNESS, CITIZENSHIP, SURVIVAL TRAINING, DRILL TEAM, AIR CADET FITNESS TESTING, FIRST AID TRAINING, DUKE OF EDINBURGH’S AWARD PROGAM, FIELD TRAINING EXERCISES and more. The squadron also has 2 flight simulators for the cadets to train on.

To join Air Cadets youi must be between 12-18 years old.  The program runs from September to June with opportunities to attend summer camps.

Cadets are encouraged to become active, responsible members of their communities. They learn valuable life and work skills like teamwork, leadership, and citizenship. Cadets also reap the personal benefits of increased self-confidence and physical fitness, learning how to take initiative, and how to make decisions. Cadets make valuable contributions to Canadian society daily in terms of environmental, citizenship and community activities.
