Trailer fire slows traffic on Trans Canada

GOLDEN — Traffic has been significantly slowed on the Trans Canada Highway following a truck fire this morning midway between Rogers Pass summit and Golden.

A semi trailer unit caught fire and held up traffic for a time.

The road has been partially reopened to single lane, alternating traffic, but CFJC Anchor Bill O’Donovan reported from the scene just before noon that it looks like there could be long delays.

He says it doesn’t appear there are any injuries, but that hasn’t been confirmed yet by emergency officials.
