KAMLOOPS — Some homeless people trying to keep warm are believed responsible for a small fire this morning at an old concrete bunker on West Seymour Street.

Platoon Captain Rob Chalmers says KFR was called out just before 3:30 AM.

He says they're not sure, but it looks like the fire was started by people staying out of the cold.

The fire was put out quickly and contained to the bunker. The bunker is part of an old concrete plant used decades ago by Hasler Brothers Concrete.

Chalmers says it's not believed anyone was hurt in the incident, and the fire was not a threat to nearby structures.
