Scotch Creek pub on fire

KAMLOOPS — Fire has engulfed the Copper Island Inn and Pub in Scotch Creek in the North Shuswap.

An employee with the Super Valu in town confirms to CFJC Today the fire broke out within the past hour.

Ben Robinson, a salesperson with the Scotch Creek Home Building Centre, says the pub has pretty much “burned to the ground.”

“The whole building is a pile of flames and the smoke cloud is twice as high as the tree line out here. It’s not a pretty situation.”
