Venom finish second at junior lacrosse provincials

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Venom lost 9-4 to the Coquitlam Adanacs in the final of the B.C. Junior "B" Lacrosse championships in Vernon.

Coquitlam had period leads of 5-1 and 7-1 in running the table at the provincials.

The Adanacs also defeated the Venom 13-5 in the tournament opener on Friday.

Riley Peterson, Anthony Matusiak and goaltender Matt Hans of the Venom were named to the tournament first all-star team.

Peterson, Hans, Tylor Seabrooke and Colton Boomer will be joining Coquitlam for the Founders Cup national junior lacrosse tournament.
