Sinclair lets her name stand for Council in September byelection

KAMLOOPS — A well-known volunteer and community supporter has let her name stand for Kamloops council in the September 30th byelection.

Kathy Sinclair is known primarily for her role as executive director of the Kamloops Arts Council, but has also been an active volunteer with many other local organizations since moving here in 2011.

She has been involved over her time here in the Literacy in Kamloops project, the SPCA, Kamloops Power Choir, Interior CarShare Cooperative and the Rotary Club of Kamloops.

Sinclair says her interests include economic development, urban planning, active transportation, affordability and health issues. 

She says her platform “long-term vision and creative solutions” focuses on growing tourism and the economy, as well as sustainability, and fostering an environment that attracts and retains small business.
