Hoops in the ‘Loops — the game is growing

KAMLOOPS — It’s been a process, but the growth of basketball in Canada is at an alltime high.

Much of that has been in B.C., and a good chunk of the B.C. growth has been right here in Kamloops.

Back-to-back South Kam girls provincial championships a few years ago —- the South Kam boys in the provincial final this past spring.

And Kamloops will be well represented on the B.C. boys team that will play at the Canada Summer Games later this month.

What happened in Cairo last weekend is expected to add another spark to the growth of the game locally, provincially and across Canada.
