KAMLOOPS — NDP leader John Horgan confirmed in Kamloops on Sunday that he supports statements earlier by Premier Christy Clark that the government will do everything possible to bring the wildfires under control, and everything necessary to ensure victims of the fires have their lives restored as fully as possible when it's all over.

Horgan met with evacuees in Kamloops shortly after Premier Clark came to Kamloops on Sunday morning, met with evacuees and announced the government would provide $100 million in aid. Horgan said support is coming in from Ottawa, and it's possible the military could assist as well.
