KAMLOOPS — The moving and shaking continues at Kamloops city hall.

Popular Councillor Ken Christian has announced his intention to resign from council in order run for mayor.

This comes after Mayor Peter Milobar confirmed his resignation this morning.

Milobar was elected to represent Kamloops-North Thompson in the May 9 provincial election.

That means Kamloops voters will have three spots to fill in a by-election slated for late September: those belonging to Milobar, Christian and Councillor Marg Spina, who is battling breast cancer.
