Westsyde residents allowed to return to regular water usage

UPDATE:

Public Works and Utilities Director Jen Fretz says the water main was repaired just after 11 p.m. Friday night.

Residents can return to regular water usage.

EARLIER:

KAMLOOPS — The City of Kamloops is asking residents in Westsyde north of Harrington Road to minimize their water usage.

The plea comes after a water line broke earlier this afternoon.

The water line feeds the North Westsyde reservoir, and the city has currently lost the ability to refill the reservoir. 

Indications from crews is that the problem should be fixed by midnight.
