CHASE, B.C. — Chase RCMP were called out to deal with a protest blocking traffic in their community today.

Cpl. Scott Linklater says this morning, a group of Adams Lake Indian Band members set up a protest mid-span on the Pine Street Bridge, complete with logs and a fire.

While a man was arrested, Linklater says it was for charges unrelated to the protest.

After discussions with police, the demonstrators moved to the north end of the bridge.
