Pedestrian seriously injured in late night collision

KAMLOOPS — A pedestrian was rushed to hospital in serious conditions just after midnight on Tuesday, March 14th after an accident near 8th Avenue at Westsyde / Ord Road.

Police, Ambulance, and Kamloops Fire Rescue crews all attended the scene.

Kamloops RCMP Staff Sergeant Robert Daly said, "A lone male pedestrian was struck by a single vehicle."

Daly adds the driver remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

The road is closed to traffic as of 1:00am.
