Kamloops, BC- The winning streak is over for the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack. They opened the 2017 portion of their Canada West men’s basketball season with a 10 point loss to the visiting University of Victoria Vikes. The score on Friday (Jan 6) was 86-76.
The WolfPack trailed by seven (19-12) after the first quarter and were down 43-34 at the half. Grant Sitton (5th year, forward, Brush Prairie, Washington) led the Vikes offensively with 30 points.
TRU’s top scorer was Michael Rouault (2nd year, guard, Vernon, BC) with 15 points.
The two teams will play again at the Tournament Capital Centre Saturday night. Tip off is 7 pm.
