Police say their initial investigation indicates a westbound Ford pickup truck crossed the centre line, hitting an eastbound Nissan Rogue.

The two occupants of the Rogue, both Lytton residents, died instantly.

The two occupants of the pickup truck, a man and woman from Prince George, were taken to Royal Inland Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

RCMP say road and weather conditions were good at the time of the collision, though it started snowing just as emergency personnel arrived on scene.

Investigators are still trying to piece together why the truck crossed the centre line.
