Mixed start to the weekend for WolfPack Basketball

KAMLOOPS — It was a disappointing start to the weekend for the TRU women's basketball team, falling 60-49 to The University of British Columbia Okanagan Heat.

The Heat's Emily Kanester led the way with 17 points and eight rebounds.

The WolfPack's Emma Piggin was the strongest offensive force with 12 points.


In TRU men's basketball, the WolfPack are into the win column for the second time in the Canada West men’s basketball league.

The WolfPack squeaked a 78-75 win against the UBCO Heat Friday

Derek Rhodes led the WolfPack with 25 points.

Aldrich Berrios led the way for UBCO with 27 points.

Both the women's and team's teams  face off again today (Saturday) at KamloopsTournament Capital Centre. Tipoff for women is 5 p.m, men 7 p.m.
