WolfPack basketball teams winless in weekend tournament

EDMONTON, AB — The TRU WolfPack men’s basketball team was swept by the unbeaten Golden Bears in Alberta this weekend. 

The WolfPack lost to the host team 83-52 Saturday night after falling to them 82-79 Friday. 

TRU’s Joe Davis had 11 points and Volodymyr Iegorov added 10 points. 

The TRU WolfPack women’s team also came up short in Alberta, losing to the University of Alberta Pandas 63-54 Saturday. 

Emma Piggin had 22 points for TRU, and Chelsey Hoey had 17.

Both the men’s and women’s teams will host the UBCO Heat Friday at the Tournament Capital Centre.
