YALE, B.C. — Crews with CN Rail have made good progress repairing tracks following a derailment in British Columbia’s Fraser Canyon.
An email from CN spokesman Brent Kossey says crews worked through the night and expect to have tracks five kilometres north of Yale reopened before noon Wednesday.
Two locomotives and several cars of a train carrying grain derailed late Tuesday morning, possibly after hitting rocks on the track.
Kossey says the locomotives were lifted back onto the rails overnight and have been removed.
