KAMLOOPS — The front of a home on Holway St. will need to be rebuilt after an early morning structure fire.

Kamloops Fire Rescue Platoon Captain Troy Grant says crews responded to the blaze around 4 a.m.

“Fire crews arrived on scene and found flames coming out the front of the building from the ground right to the ceiling,” Grant said. “The fire was hit and initially knocked down very quickly. Crews did an interior search, the building was vacant.”

The fire reached the attic space and spread the length of the house, causing significant damage.
