Robber steals ATM from golf course

KAMLOOPS —  RCMP responded to an alarm received at the Eagle Point Golf Club just after 3:00 AM this morning.

When police got there, Corporal Cheryl Bush says they found  the front door was forcefully opened and an ATM machine was stolen from the premise.

Bush says police picked up a trail quickly. She says officers responding to the alarm observed a suspicious vehicle fleeing the area.  The vehicle was stopped and the lone occupant was detained for investigation.  A portion of the ATM machine was recovered near-by the vehicle.

Police aren’t speculating that there might have been another person involved, considering the size of an ATM. More expected later today.
