ICBC asks drivers to stay alert this long weekend

KAMLOOPS — Make sure you’re well rested before heading out on the highways this weekend. 

Ingrid Brakop with ICBC says it’s important to stay alert with so many cars on the road. 

“Driver’s fatigue seems to be an issue with individuals so, of course, with the weather being nice and warm now, finally, people are driving longer distances and (with) the warm weather people seem to get slightly more fatigued,” Brakop said. “We’re asking people to just be mindful of that.”

Brakop says people should take their time as they travel, and stop to rest if necessary.
