KAMLOOPS — RCMP have made arrests in a stabbing incident in Brocklehurst yesterday morning.

A 53 year old Southill Street resident called 9-1-1 at about 11:20 a.m. yesterday reporting that he had been stabbed.

The stabbing happened after the man had allowed a pair of acquaintances into his home, and the three got into an argument.

Corporal Jodi Shelkie says a pair of arrests were made later in the day.

"Arrested are a 19 year old female, and a 26 year old male. They're in custody, and going to be going to court today [June 20]. Both are previously known to police," said Skelkie.

The two are facing charges of aggravated assault with a weapon.

Shelkie says the victim remains in hospital in serious but stable condition.
