KAMLOOPS — Kamloops council meets for a rare Monday morning workshop today.

Council's normal Tuesday schedule has been adjusted due to the Southern Interior Local Government Association starting tomorrow in Kelowna.

Today's meeting includes another discussion about the possibility of allowing Kamloops residents to keep hens on their properties.

The debate has been raised several times over the past decade, with council steadfastly refusing to change the by-law preventing urban chickens.

However, a city survey found as much as 85 per cent of the city's population wants to be allowed to keep hens.
