Kelowna grandmother $50M Lotto Max winner

KAMLOOPS — A Kelowna grandmother says she only hoped to win a $1 million Maxmillion prize in Friday's Lotto Max draw.

Today, 80 year old June Bergh is $50 million richer.

Bergh was introduced as the big winner at BC Lottery Corporation headquarters in Kamloops this morning.

"When I first checked my ticket, initially I thought I won $50,000 and I asked my husband to take a look and double check it," said Bergh. "He instantly became dazed when he realized we were holding a $50 million ticket.

Bergh says she plans to share her winning with family, and go on a cruise with her husband, Gus.
