Former Blazer Peter Soberlak receives WHL alumni achievement award

KAMLOOPS — Last Friday two former Kamloops Blazers, Scott Niedermayer and Peter Soberlak, were presented with Western Hockey League alumni achievement awards.

Defenseman Niedermayer played three seasons with the Blazers.

After his junior career he went on to an NHL Hall of Fame career.

Peter Soberlak took a different path after his hockey playing days.

One that led him back to his hometown, Thompson Rivers University where he now instructs, and to his first junior hockey team.
