Kamloops RCMP investigating homicide on Tranquille Rd.

KAMLOOPS —  RCMP are looking for a suspect in an assault which has left a 30 year old male dead.

At approximately 4:47pm on Friday, a 911 call was recieved for a male who had suffered serious injuries after being assaulted by another man.

The suspect fled the scene before police arrived.

The victim was transported to Royal Inland Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries later Friday evening.

Kamloops RCMP’s Serious Crime Unit is investigating the homicide, and still searching for the suspect.

 

The owner of Hatsuki Sushi on Tranquille confirms there was a stabbing in front of his restaurant last evening.

Sam Zhang says the incident started to unfold after 4:30 when he and his staff heard two men arguing in front of the restaurant. 

Zhang says after a few minutes a man who was bleeding came in and collapsed on the ground near the reception.

He describes it as quite a frightening incident.

Zhang says his staff and a patron called 911.

He says within five minutes the police arrived on scene and began investigating.
