Bonner leaving Giants

VANCOUVER – Two months after his brother resigned as general manager of the Kamloops Blazers, Scott Bonner has done the same with the Vancouver Giants.

The only G.M. the Giants have ever had, Bonner is leaving to join the Sports Corporation — a player agency with clients like Carey Price, Ryan Getzlaf, and former Giants players Brendan Gallagher and Milan Lucic.

Bonner’s resignation ends a 26-year association with Giants owner Ron Toigo, that began when Toigo owned the Tri City Americans.

Bonner will stay with the Giants to help with the transition as the club looks for a new general manager.
